Overview
This Egyptian portrait was a photo-manipulation assignment as a part of the MAT course in photography in which we had to create with the footage we took in our passport assignment.
This, like all photo-manipulation tasks, was created using Adobe Photoshop. The idea was to learn and utilize the usage of layer masks, order… many different tools and utilities in the software.
Because I had used Photoshop in my own work prior (both in my small record label in its broad artworks, and own musical releases) to entering Riveria, using it was a breeze and only an interesting creative challenge!
What I learned
How to merge two images to create a new graphical piece
How two different views (side & profile) when merged create a new, uncanny view
Color correcting subjects in Camera Raw both in Adobe Bridge and in Photoshop
Masking & copypasting facial features to different layers to help with the wanted look
