Overview:
The "Red Halo Collection" was a quick collection of images I made with my MAT group's two students: Svitlana and Anastasia.
Basically, we were given the opportunity to shoot a few photos in our campuses TV studio and practice taking pictures under different studio situations: Daylight and artificial colored light with a flash. And this? Done with the latter.
On top of just utilizing the colored backlight, we had the creative idea to utilize a color filter, commonly used on white flashes and lights, but in this case, we used it to achieve a cool effect, something that looks like a bit plasticky and gives a little bit of that visual glare.
All that was done afterwards was just color correction in Camera Raw.
What I learned:
Collaboration with students to achieve a creative solution and result, of which took us three by surprise.
Seeing and realizing how your body speaks when you start trying out new poses.
Trusting the people in the shoot and allowing yourself to be free to get the most authentic photos.
Color correction using Camera Raw
Photographic eye in shoots.
Creative & Outside-the-box thinking.
